Unwind patterns that are no longer serving you. Reestablish your relationship to gravity. Experience your body in new ways.
The work I do considers the person as a whole. Every session is individualized to each client and their specific postural patterns that have formed through their physical, mental, and emotional experiences. Movement is a big component of the work I offer, with the client being an active participant so that they maintain agency in their healing. I am here to support and offer you tools, but you decide how the work will play into your life.

Anatomy Trains Structural Integration
Structural Integration is a journey of self discovery. It's wonderful work for anyone who experiences chronic pain, for people who are rehabbing injuries and surgeries, for those looking to increase their athletic abilities, for postpartum mothers inhabiting a new body, and anyone in life's big transitions who need a sense of grounding.
Anatomy Trains Structural Integration is based on the pioneering work of Ida Rolf and current research into our Fascial System. A Structural Integration Series consists of 12 Sessions, which work as a systematic deep dive into each component of your body that is influencing the system as a whole. It's beautiful in its thoroughness, as it's often the areas we don't expect that are holding our deepest patterns. In the series, we systematically unwind the old patterns and movement habits that are no longer serving you, helping your body reorient to gravity.
We do approximately one session a week for the duration of the series, although there can be flexibility around this timing. Read more about Structural Integration here.

ScarWork and Therapeutic Bodywork
ScarWork
The Sharon Wheeler ScarWork method was developed within the framework of Structural Integration to help scar tissue incorporate back into the fascial web. Besides adhering to surrounding structures, scar tissue also creates a disconnect within the fascial system, which can cause ongoing pain or immobility in areas seemingly unrelated to the scar. This work is gentle yet highly effective on any scars, no matter how old they are. It helps to organize the tissues and promotes the flow of new nutrients into the area through increased circulation and lymphatic activity. A "pulling" sensation is often released, and many times the appearance of the scar is improved. This work can be incorporated into Structural Integration or Therapeutic Bodywork sessions. It is also offered as a stand-alone service for people experiencing significant scars, focusing on working from the scar out as opposed to along the myofascial meridians.
Therapeutic Bodywork
Therapeutic bodywork sessions are customized to the client and their particular needs on that day. These sessions may look more like a traditional massage with the client draped under a sheet for the whole session or may involve client movement on and off the table. Modalities used include myofascial release, sports massage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, and active release techniques. Time is also spent cradling the nervous system, creating the mind body connection and allowing the client to settle into the deeply important parasympathetic state.
